County officials have cleared us to return to our building, and residents will soon be making their way back from Village Veranda at Lady Lake.
Although our phones, internet, and power are still down and we remain on generator power, returning residents to their familiar environment is the best decision for their comfort and well-being, especially since Village Veranda is also operating on generator power.

As of October 7 at 2 PM EST, we are taking precautionary measures to ensure the safety of our senior living residents in light of Hurricane Milton’s projected path. Based on the latest updates, we are evacuating residents from The Heron Club at Prestancia to our sister community, Village Veranda of Lady Lake, located at 955 US-441, Lady Lake, FL 32159.
To facilitate this evacuation, buses will begin loading at 10 AM tomorrow–Tuesday– morning, ensuring a smooth and safe transition for our residents. Our dedicated team is coordinating all logistics, and each resident’s medical needs, personal belongings, and comfort are our top priorities during this move.
Village Veranda at Lady Lake is fully prepared to welcome residents, and we understand this may be an anxious time for families, but we want to assure you that your loved ones will be in good hands. Our teams have extensive experience in managing weather-related emergencies, and their safety remains at the forefront of all our decisions.
