Debby made landfall as a hurricane near Steinhatchee in Florida's Big Bend at 7 a.m. EST today, with sustained winds of 80 mph. The storm has since been downgraded to a tropical storm.
Despite this downgrade, Debby remains dangerous, bringing heavy rainfall that may cause localized flooding. The storm is now heading towards Georgia and will impact both coastal and inland areas.
Our communities in Georgia, as well as other coastal locations, are fully prepared for Debby's impact. We will continue to provide updates as the situation develops.
Thank you for your patience and support during this time. Stay safe!
