Emergency Rule & What It Means

The SRI Management team continues to dedicate our resources to ensure residents and staff at all of our communities remain protected and informed through the evolving Coronavirus pandemic. On May 10, 2020, the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) ─ the statewide agency regulating long-term care facilities in Florida ─ issued Emergency Rule 59AER20-2.

This rule allows Florida Department of Health (FDOH) and authorized representatives access to assisted living facilities for infection prevention purposes and enacts mandatory testing for all community staff by the Florida Department of Health.

In the days and weeks ahead, our residents may notice authorized FDOH representatives visiting our community. These preventative control measures have been put in place to protect our residents and staff and should not raise concerns of positive cases being identified within the community.

Our team is dedicated to continued transparency and remains vigilant in keeping the safety of our residents and staff at the forefront during this unprecedented time. We appreciate our residents, their family and our staff’s continued support and understanding.
